Jablonec Export Houses
– sample books and accounting documentation
In 2025, the Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou digitized the first part of a unique collection of written materials originating from the so-called Jablonec Export Houses.
These are handwritten and illustrated sample books and related accounting documentation of companies focused on the export of so-called Jablonec goods, finished costume jewellery, components, and crystal. A total of 611 volumes contain visual documentation of goods, in the form of drawings or photographs, calculations, order records, customer directories, etc.
About the project
European Union (National Recovery Plan) and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic co-financed the project Digitalizace Sbírky Muzea skla a bižuterie v Jablonci nad Nisou II. (r. č. 0442000027) / Digitization of the Collection of the Museum of Glass and Costume Jewelry in Jablonec nad Nisou II. (project no. 0442000027).
The database is arranged alphabetically by the names of export houses. Under the names of individual companies, folders with scanned materials for viewing are located.
